Dr. Kalam’s full name is “Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam”  (October 15, 1931 to July 27, 2015) he was an Indian aerospace scientist and politician,who has served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. Born and raised in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, he studied physics and space engineering. For the next four decades, he mainly served as a scientist and scientific administrator in the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and was closely involved in India’s civil space program and military missile development.He is known as the Missile Man of India because of his research on ballistic missiles and launch vehicle technology.
